Artist Fund - Do you have a favorite musician or instrument? Get up close and personal with one of our CMF musicians by sponsoring their position in the orchestra. Supporters of this fund also receive invitations to join the musicians on stage at several summer rehearsals, followed by special receptions with Maestro Michael Christie and the orchestra. Your gift will help Maestro Michael Christie pursue innovative programming and concert enhancements for the summer season that are beyond the scope of our budget.

The Heartstrings Program provides tuition assistance and low-cost instrument rental to students with financial need, in support of our mission “Music for All…For Life.” Your donations to this program help ensure that the joys of music-making are available to all students regardless of financial circumstances. The Musical Instrument Bank provides over 200 instruments to children from 46 schools in 5 school districts.

To better serve our students and our community we are transforming our rehearsal studios and performance spaces at the RMCMA from melodies to masterworks!

You can ensure that future generations in our community have classical music in their lives by including us in your estate plan. There are easy ways to leave a legacy gift, including adding a codicil to your will, or naming us a beneficiary of your life insurance policy or IRA. Once you notify us of your intention to include us in your estate plan, we’ll welcome you into the Legacy Club, which holds events throughout the year to honor your connection to CMF & RMCMA and keep you apprised on the status of the Endowment Fund. The Endowment Fund was established by the founders of the Legacy Club to insure the long-term strength and stability of CMF & RMCMA. Introducing Music Mash-up & Party concerts to Boulder: Our introduction of Music Mash-up concerts to Boulder audiences continues our long-term pursuit of innovation in programming, characterized by the many years of Michael Christie’s leadership. CMF stands out in Boulder for excellence in performance and innovation in programming, promoting new composers’ works, bringing little-known great works to the community such as the Rediscovered Masters project, and bringing a new accessibility to classical music through a charismatic conductor. By broadening our audiences now, the Colorado Music Festival can continue to be an integral part of our wonderful community for generations to come.
